Ziro
❓ Can you achieve a Ziro with an Action card? ❓
❌ No. A Ziro can only be achieved using the sum of the 5 cards in your hand.
👉 Action cards have no numerical value: to achieve Ziro, you must use only Number cards.
❓ Can you change the sign of a number that has already been modified? ❓
✅ Yes. A new Action card can change the sign of a number that has already been modified.
👉 Example: if an Action changes all 9s to +, two turns later another player can play an Action that changes the rule and makes all 9s –.
❓ If I draw a card that gives me Ziro but then discard the “Total Swap” Action card, can I declare Ziro? ❓
❌ No. Ziro can only be declared at the end of your turn.
👉 Since the Action card takes effect when it is discarded, you must complete the swap first. Only then, with your final hand of 5 cards, can you declare Ziro if applicable.
❓ What about the “Play Again” Action card? ❓
✅ Yes. In this case, your turn ends and a new turn begins immediately.
👉 You can therefore declare Ziro before starting your new turn.
❓ When the “Total Swap” Action card is activated, who passes a card to the player on their left first? ❓
✅ The exchange takes place simultaneously, once each player has chosen the card they want to give away.
👉 For the face-up version, count to 3 and all players reveal the card they want to exchange at the same time.
❓ Can I discard the card I just drew? ❓
❌ No, you must discard one of your other cards.
❓ There are lots of us playing and we want to shorten the game. What can we do? ❓
✅ You can agree to play with only 2 Ziros needed to win instead of 3.
👉 This helps shorten the game when there are many players.
❓ My child has just learned basic arithmetic. Can they play Ziro? ❓
✅ Yes! For younger players, you can play with only 4 cards in hand instead of 5 to make the calculations easier.
👉 You can also download the Number Guide PDF to help your children.
